Remote for Google and Android TV (“the App”) allows users to control compatible Android TV and Google TV devices over WiFi. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your information.

2. Information We Collect

The App does not collect, store, or share personal data. Only required permissions are used for core functionality.

3. Permissions Used

  • INTERNET – Required for communication with TV devices.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – Checks network connectivity.
  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE – Detects WiFi status.
  • CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE – Enables TV discovery on local network.
  • VIBRATE – Provides haptic feedback.
  • WAKE_LOCK – Prevents device sleep during usage.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE – Maintains stable background connection.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS – Sends notifications.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – Maintains scheduled tasks after reboot.
  • SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM – Enables scheduling and sleep timer features.
  • RECORD_AUDIO – Optional voice control feature (audio is not recorded or stored).

4. Third-Party Services

We use OneSignal for push notifications. OneSignal may collect device identifiers as described in their privacy policy.

5. Data Security

The App does not store personal data. Communication is limited to local network commands required for TV control.
