Our App is designed to function primarily as a local network controller. We do not collect personal identifying information (such as your name, address, or phone number) for transmission to our own servers.

The App requires specific permissions on your Android device to perform its core functions. Below is a detailed explanation of why we request these permissions and how they are used:

A. Local Network Connection and Device Discovery

To function as a remote control, the App must be able to find and communicate with your Android TV over your local Wi-Fi network.

  • INTERNET: Required to send commands (like channel changes or volume adjustments) from your phone to your TV via local network protocols.
  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to verify that your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network and to identify the current network name (SSID) to ensure you are on the same network as your TV.
  • CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE: This allows the App to send and receive multicast packets, which is the standard method used for automatically discovering devices (like your TV) on a local network.

B. Voice Commands

  • RECORD_AUDIO: This permission is requested strictly to enable voice search functionality on your TV. When you tap the microphone icon in the App, the microphone records your voice command and streams it temporarily to your connected Android TV to execute the search. We do not store, analyze, or share your audio recordings. The audio data is only processed momentarily to fulfill your active request.

C. Scheduling and Automation Features

To support features like the "Sleep Timer" and "Power Schedules," the App needs to execute actions precisely when you tell it to.

  • SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM & USE_EXACT_ALARM: Used to trigger send power-off or power-on commands to your TV at the exact times you have scheduled within the App.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: If you restart your phone, this permission allows the App to automatically reschedule your saved power timers so they still work without you needing to open the app again.

D. App Functionality and Performance

  • VIBRATE: Used to provide haptic feedback (a small vibration) when you press buttons on the remote, confirming your action.
  • WAKE_LOCK: Used temporarily while you are actively using the remote screen or while a connection is being established to prevent your phone's screen from dimming or the CPU from sleeping, ensuring uninterrupted control.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to display notifications related to active connections or scheduled timers.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE (Connected Device): This allows the App to maintain an active, low-latency connection to your TV in the background. This ensures that when you switch back to the remote app, or when a scheduled timer triggers, the connection is instantly ready without needing to reconnect.

E. Local Data Storage

The App stores limited data locally on your device, such as a list of your previously paired TVs and your configured power schedules. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not share any user data with third-party services, analytics providers, or advertising networks for the purpose of tracking users.

3. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

4. Children’s Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
